I cordially invite you to the 5th Postgraduate Course of the RITM Laboratory Research Division. The organizers of this event have come up with a program for today's generation of laboratory practitioners, covering significant topics on laboratory biosafety, quality, innovation and research. Unique to this course is the role of the laboratory in public health-be it in government or in the private sector-especially in the detection and notification of infectious diseases that have outbreak potential. We hope to see you there!

Message from the Overall Chair
On behalf of the organizing committee,as chairperson of the 5th RITM Laboratory Post Graduate Course, it is of great pleasure that I invite you to attend this event on March 15-16, 2012 at the RITM, Training Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
We have chosen the theme "i-Lab" or "Intelligent Laboratory"; this is not about automation, but rather, the word "intelligent", encompasses Quality, Safety and Innovation in clinical and research laboratory practices.
There will be topics as always on research updates on infectious and emerging diseases, in particular the integration of current laboratory technologies and clinical needs. We will pay particular interest as well to the role of the laboratory in reporting notifiable infectious diseases.
